SEMINARS, WORKSHOPS, RESEARCH COURSES |
Activities authorised by the thesis supervisor, as long as they are linked to the doctoral thesis’ content or methodological nature. They must be activities aimed at research with a level equivalent to CFA or CFT (conducted by PhDs and of a similar duration). |
PRESENTATION OF COMMUNICATIONS IN SCIENTIFIC CONGRESSES |
Participation (not only attendance) in congresses with a high academic standing will be taken into account. An attendance and participation certificate where the presented paper is featured must be handed in. An authorisation by the thesis supervisor is also mandatory. |
INDEXED PUBLICATIONS. JCR |
In order to be able to present the doctoral theses, the PhD student must have published at least one JCR article. Students enrolled in the new plan (from 2018 onwards) must also be the first author of the work. |
INDEXED PUBLICATIONS. OTHERS |
Other non-JCR but indexed publications weightings between 0.50 and 0.75 of a JCR are proposed depending on other indications of quality. |
BOOKS AND BOOK CHAPTERS |
The PhD student’s participation in the publication of full books or books chapters will be considered. Recognised publishers must publish them. |
PATENTS |
The active participation of the student in the development of a patent will be considered. |
RESEARCH STAYS |
The stay must be documented and approved by the supervisor. The previous authorisation must be requested to the CAPD. |
OCEANOGRAPHIC CAMPAIGNS |
There must be a certificate of the activity and it must be authorised by the thesis supervisor. There must be a record of the results or fundamental results must be included in the student’s Yearly Research Plan. |
STUDENT’S DAY |
Attendance to at least one Student’s Day event during the doctoral programmed will be considered. |
PREPARATION AND ANNUAL DEFENSE OF RESEARCH PLANS |
A total of 100 h is recognised for all positive evaluations of Yearly Research Plans. |
