The Doctoral Program “Marine Science, Technology and Management” (DOMAR) is a program that was born within the CEI Campus do Mar. It is an international and cross-border doctoral program offered by the universities members of the Campus do Mar: in Galicia (Spain) the universities of Coruña, Santiago de Compostela and Vigo, and in the north of Portugal the universities of Aveiro, Minho, Tras os Montes e Alto Douro and Porto.


This doctoral programme is joined by the mentioned universities, as well as the marine research centres that are part of the CSIC in Galicia (Spanish National Research Council): the Instituto de Investigaciones Mariñas (Institute of Marine Research) and the oceanographic centres from the IEO (Spanish Oceanographic Institute) in A Coruña and Vigo.

DOMAR, named Doctor in Marine Sciences Technology and Management, is a joint degree of the participating universities in the Doctoral Program.


The mission of this DOMAR doctoral program is to train the best professionals and researchers in the field of Sciences, Technologies and Marine Management in their different scientific, technical, economic and social applications, generating quality research and international impact and also providing the industry with the best tools to improve its competitiveness on a global scale.
