THESIS DEFENSE
- To have developed both their own and external training activities of those recognised by the programme that together add up to 800 hours.
- Among these 800 hours, have passed a minimum of 200 hours of advanced training and transversal training courses
- Have published as first signatory at least one article in a journal of reference in their field of research.
- Have favorable reports of the annual evaluations and document of activities.
- Have a favourable report from the Monitoring Committee, director, directors and tutor (not necessary in the case of Portuguese universities)
The regulations for the reading of theses depend on the institution in which the doctoral student is enrolled
