The mobility of doctoral students is regulated by the doctoral regulations of the EIDO (UVIGO), the USC (art. 32) and the UDC (art. 18).
Stays in research centres, both national and international, are one of the main mobility opportunities, especially from the second year onwards. These allow them to enrich academic training, integrate into the research community, expand the network of contacts and evaluate the application of the skills acquired in research.
In the DOMAR programme, stays are considered external training activities with the allocation of hours. In addition, to obtain the international mention it is necessary to stay for at least three months.
The destinations can be suggested by the thesis supervisors or the Monitoring Committee. Once accepted by the host institution, the doctoral student must request authorisation from the Academic Committee, submitting the signed application together with the letter of acceptance. This commission is responsible for officially approving and recognising stays. Stays that have not been previously authorised will not be considered valid. At the end, the doctoral student must present a certificate from the receiving institution with the duration and dates of the stay.
- International Relations Office (UVIGO, UDC) or the Foreign Relations Service (USC): Provides relevant information and advice on mobility programmes and regulations, both for students who wish to study or carry out research stays at other universities and for students who come from other universities and other countries who are going to continue their training at our university.
- EURAXESS Centres (Visiting Researchers Programme) at UVIGO and USC: Provides relevant information and advice on mobility programmes and regulations for R1 research staff (pre-doctoral students) who wish to carry out research stays at other national or international universities as well as for R1 research staff who wish to carry out a research stay at our Universities.
